
Jason Raines, ACF
VP of Operations, Wildlife Biologist
Jason grew up in Aledo, Texas, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Forest Wildlife Management and a Master of Science in Spatial Science from Stephen F. Austin State University. Before joining Acorn Outdoors, he worked as a utility forester and geospatial applications specialist, gaining experience in both field operations and mapping technologies. He began at Acorn as a GIS specialist and quickly expanded his role to oversee the GIS department and all field operations. Drawing on his background in both forestry and wildlife biology, Jason guides projects that balance forest management, habitat improvement, and landowner goals, including prescribed burning, tree planting, and mechanical site preparation. He is an active member of the Texas Forestry Association, Louisiana Forestry Association, Texas Prescribed Burn Managers Council, and the Association of Consulting Foresters.
